rp sample ••Garrett William Evans was a Nomadic Vampire. He always had been. Well, I suppose there was a time when he was otherwise, but he hardly remembers it, it was so long ago. Human memories to a vampire were fuzzy at best, and the last one Garrett possessed was over 200 years ago. He had had over 200 years of roaming free, doing what he liked when he liked. He never broke the volturi’s precious laws so they never got in his way and he liked it like that. Freedom. That was all he needed. All he had ever needed. Freedom to explore the world, find out new things. Met new people. That was what Garrett’s life was all about now. Being whomever he wanted.
It was a favour to an old friend that Garrett was back in forks. A friend he was coming to see now. He was around for the wedding of said friend’s “son” Edward and was posing as his uncle. It was a funny thing really. Pretending to be someone’s brother. Interesting. Garrett found there was never a dull moment. He owed Carlisle Cullen a lot, so this was the least he could do. He would only be Garrett Cullen for a little bit then he could carry on wandering. Moving onto his next adventure.
Even though Garrett was a friend of Carlisle he didn’t share his diet. His eyes shone a deep crimson as he reached the Cullen household, where he was staying until the wedding was over, he reached to the handle and slowly let himself in, the smell hit him immediately. His thoughts wandered straight to the little girl who was his niece as soon as he was able too. Alice had been at work. He smiled and shook his head lightly; he would never understand that girl. So much energy. She was so, curious. He would love to sit and talk to her for a bit, but he knew how unlikely that was at least till the wedding was over. That was her first priority. Her power intrigued him as well. He wondered how exactly it worked. It must be difficult, stressful too, having all that responsibility.
The whole house was fanatic with the dismantling of the wedding. Garrett only had a couple of days left in forks, and he was going to enjoy them. He hadn’t felt like leaving yet. He hadn’t wanted to. He was finding life with the Cullens fascinating, especially their “cousins” the Denali coven. They were all so beautiful and Katrina especially was extremely talented. He thought about her power and smiled. He knew he would be able to count on her to keep him company.
Slowly he started to look for her around the house. Asking anyone he saw if they had seen her. They pointed in different directions before muttering to themselves about cleaning up this part of the house or dismantling the altar. He smiled. Civilised company was extremely pleasant every now and then. ”Kate.” He decided that doing things the human way was getting boring and called out her name, knowing she would hear it eventually. Then he travelled towards the living room, which seemed to be the only room in the house, which was in the same state as when he arrived. He smiled, thinking about Katrina Kazakova. Wondering what she would be wearing. He always found himself drifting off thinking about her like this. He didn’t understand why. It was a new feeling these ones he had been having ever since he met Kate. All he wanted to do was keep her out of harm’s way and he wasn’t sure he would ever be able to let himself be separated from her. He supposed he would find out sooner or later. When the time came for them to go their separate ways.
Hearing the sound of tiny footsteps coming from the hall, Garrett jumped in a straight line and smiled at the door. The aroma that filled the room was a familiar one, and he found his mouth moving into the shape of a grin.
