CHARACTERS NAME: Elyse Samantha Moore
NICKNAME(S): Ely
DATE OF BIRTH: 25th of August
AGE: Sixteen
GRADE: Junior
TOWN: La Push
PETS: None
SPECIES: Human
so shine that light, take my hand
and let’s dance into tomorrow land
HAIR: Ely’s hair is a really dark brown and reaches down to just past her shoulders, it used to be bleached blonde but when she went off to boarding school she just let it grow out until it was back to original colour. It looks better without the blonde she has decided, suits her personality more. Everyone thought she looked stupid with her blonde hair, so it was easier just to go natural again.
EYES: Elyse’s eyes are almond in shape and a glittery brown colour that she inherited from her Mother. They’re the one feature that she actually likes before they have some depth to them, and they reflect how sparky she is despite the fact she can barely manage to string two words together when actually asked to speak. Her shyness closes her mouth, but her eyes send out monologues on her very soul.
SKIN: Her skin is pale from so many years spent in England, having been over there since she was five. It could be called deathly in colour, but she doesn’t truly care, it sort of looks all right now she’s not blonde. Elyse is hoping more than anything that she can get a tan now she’s back home in La Push, but she doubts it will happen as she is spending most of her life in her room reading as per usual.
HEIGHT & BUILD: Five foot tall and petite.

PERSONALITY:
The first thing that most people are prone to noticing about Elyse Moore is that her geekish temper should not be trifled with. It has often been passed around as a joke that her hair is simply the lava bubbling on top of a very active volcano and when she blows it might just fall out of her head. She makes no qualms about the fact that she does have a very fiery nature that when ignited can be quite terrifying to those who do not know how to calm her. Mostly her temper comes as a shock because it does not quite fit with the rest of her personality. Her anger and rage is almost always sparked for the same reason, her need to protect and stand up for those that she loves and or cares for. If you hurt one of her friends, or one of her loved ones then you had better duck because this little fireball will not stop her hunt until she has succeeded in reprimanding you someway or another. When she is in one of her moods she will never however reach for violence, even when she has blown a fuse Elly refuses to use her fists to get her own way. All her fighting is done with tongues.
One of the best known facts about Ely is that she has a heart that has an unlimited amount of love within it and she is more than ready to share that love with any that deserve it. It is her heart that would make her stand in front of a friend and give her life for them. It is her heart that would make her forgive those that have wronged her, well most of the time anyway. It has often been said that Elly is one of the kindest people around, that is until you cross her badly enough for her to close off and put you on her black list. Once this has happened it would be advisable to run to say the least. Ely can be your best friend and your most loyal companion, or she can be your worst nightmare. Once you have been stricken from her good books her heart simply does not come into the equation, it will turn to stone against you and as her temper usually gets in the way she finds it very hard to forgive and forget if you have done something bad enough to cause her to shut off in the first place. This has only happened once or twice in her entire lifetime but as the world darkens around her it is becoming more and more likely it will occur on regular occasions now.
Intelligence. This has always been a part of Elyse that she cannot deny or hide from others. A bright young woman with power that can often streak far past those around her. She was one of the best in her year, despite her ditzy ness and was always quite proud of the fact. Her mind was forever thinking things through and puzzling over problems until she found a solution at school and it still is most of the time. This however has lended to an issue that she is not sure how to escape; she can’t physically shut her brain off and just not think for a few moments of the day. This is what has led her to be such a geek. Her mind is always thinking on this or that, of ways to try and say build a light sabre or a time machine. Elyse’s home is in front of a computer with a stream of numbers flashing in front of her face and her fingers on a keyboard.
When it comes to energy and fun there could be none more processing of this than Elyse. She could give Tigger a run for his money with her bouncy nature and infectious laughter. Her eyes are probably the clearest indicator of this, as they always seem to be glimmering and bubbling with the smile that plays her pink lips. Ely’s entire aura buzzes with uncontrollable energy and happiness, but this can cause people to get the wrong idea about her. She has her down points, but she makes a conscious decision not to let them show. She hates to appear miserable because it would make her the same as everyone else at that point in time. Elly thinks there should be some sunshine and light in the world, even if it is only her that gives it. Even though there is a war raging and people she cares for are getting hurt, she refuses to allow it to crush her spirit. Her determination has also been enhanced as her courage rises alongside all these thoughts and feelings. She wants to bring a few smiles back into the world, even if the smiling person might be dead the next day. However this is only after you get to know her, when you first come across Elyse she is terribly quiet because she’s so scared you’ll hate her if she opens her mouth. She hides behind a pile of books, guarded until she knows she can trust you with her bright and bubbly side.
Amongst all the other qualities that make up Ely probably one of the most defined is her determination and her courage. It has often been said that if anyone were likely to throw himself or herself in the way of a bullet for someone it would be Miss Bennett. People used to question why she was placed as the bravery, until she began to stand up to bullies twice her size for her friends and family. Ely’s determination has always been set solid in stone and there is no way to disregard it or try and beat it down, it is linked 100 percent to her spirit and her spirit is stronger than anything. She wants to prove to people that she’s not just a British boarding school princess that can be squashed down as easily as the bullies would hope. She wants to stand out for her kind, to stand up for them and to prove that you don’t have to be big and butch to be a powerful man or woman.

` aged minus three months – cassandra feels elyse move for the first time and begins to get attached to the little baby, saying she wants it and not just an heir now. ethan is just happy that she is bonding with her stomach and starts doing up the babies room in their mansion, he is already in the process of looking for a nanny so cassandra can go back to work as she wants to after the birth.
` aged minus one day – cassandra feels her first contraction and is terrified because the baby is two months early. she screams for ethan and her husband comes running to find her waters broken therefore there is no way to stop the labour. cassandra is rushed to hospital to make sure that the baby is born in at least a place where they might be able to save it.
` aged one minute – elyse is born screeching into the world and rushed instantly away from her worried parents into an incubator. thankfully it is not long before she is taken out and handed to them to hold for the first time. the doctors assure the worried two that she will just be very small. both of them are amazed by their little bundle and even ethan loves his child.
` aged three days – elyse closes her little fingers around her mother’s finger for the first time and it is marked as something amazing by every child development analyist ethan and cassandra have bought in to check that she grows as she should. a nanny is finally hired and the child is handed over so that cassie can go to work, but she doesn’t want to leave her daughter. ethan convinces her and she heads out.
` aged four years – elyse has grown steadily under the kind eyes of her nanny bernadette but then ethan declares that to get away from the hustle and bustle of new york the entire family is going to move to a reservation called la push, but the school wasn’t good enough for their little angel. so without asking her mother or her ethan signs elyse up for a boarding school in the british countryside, a prepatory academy for young woman where the education is amazing, good enough for his little angel. cassandra argues but finally agrees when elyse says she wants to go, seeing it is causing arguments and hating it.
` aged five years – elyse starts at her new school and quickly finds her place. no one is nasty to her because she is no target at all. no one bullies her because she doesn’t make a point of herself, preferring to blend into the background and just stay to herself and her books.
` aged six years – elyse enters her second year, having spent the summer in london with her parents instead of going back to america, it would have been too hard to take her school books back according to her father. so elyse still has not seen the town where her parents are living. she sits obediently beside her mother as she discusses how well their companies are doing and even then elyse can sense they are not happy.
` aged seven years – elyse doesn’t see her parents over the summer, she goes to stay in brighton with a friend. she hears from one of her godmothers that they are having trouble and are seeing a councillor instead of her that year, but they’re definitely coming the next year. elyse has now been away from america for two years and is beginning to see england as more her home than the place she was born, her accent is distinctly british and she feels like she belongs there.
` aged eight years – elyse’s godmother is proved wrong. her father does not come to see her, it is only her mother, to tell her that her and her father have split up and that he is moving back to new york, cassandra will stay in the home in la push as she is happy there.
` aged nine years – elyse gets her first experience of having two birthdays, one spent unwrapping presents from her mother and another from her father. ely doesn’t want anything her dad has sent her and so gives all the designer clothes and gadgets away to her friends at boarding school, all except a mobile phone so she can ring her mother. she follows the plot of having a decoy for matron to take and then everyone cottons on. aged nine she gets her first shot of popularity because of this ingenius plan.
` aged ten years – elyse passes with the highest grades in her class and she is proud for the first time. it has been two years since she saw her father but she doesn’t care. according to her mother he has gotten himself a young girlfriend that he is very busy with and that is why he misses the summer trip again, but elyse knows better, she knows to him she is only an heir to his business.
` aged eleven years – elyse’s father finds out that his new wife can’t have children and comes to see his daughter for the first time in three years, claiming he has just been busy but she knows that he needs her now to confirm the future of his fortune. elyse sits in silence all through the dinner he buys for her as he chatters endlessly about his ‘chantal’. when he leaves she turns to her friends and swears for the first time.
` aged sixteen years – elyse passes her gcse’s with amazing results and her mother comes to see her afterwards as her boarding school only goes to sixteen. her mother offers her the chance to come back to america with her. elyse debates with herself for a few months before agreeing, she’ll go and give her mother some company and try out high school.
` aged sixteen years – elyse arrives in america on the thirty first of october two thousand and five, so she’s pretty brand new. she settles into her room and instantly sets about building a massive book case because her mum didn’t think to get one. it takes up all of one wall of the room and when her mum sees she only smiles and wonders why she didn’t see how similar she was to her daughter.

Pressing her mobile to her ear to cover herself the small shape of Charlotte Bennett pushed through the crowds that seemed to hang around everywhere she went. Her throat burned as her teeth coated with venom, her nose picking up every subtle difference in scent that the people around her gave off. How sweet it would be to just plunge her teeth into one of their chattering annoying necks, knowing they would finally shut up if she did. She resisted the urge and instead used her small size to just get through and get away from them. If there was one thing that put Lottie’s teeth on edge it was the endless chatter of little girls. They all thought they were so old, so mature, but when push came to shove they wouldn’t know how to survive in the real world. The reason Lottie hated them so much for the fact that she had been one of them before she was killed. They reminded her of the innocence she had lost when that drunken brute smashed her head in with an ashtray. It had been a cold night and she’d just been left out there to die, to rot away into non-existence. It was a few moments later that the fire began. It had torn across her skin, a pain so acute she’d been strangled into silence. The only reason she hadn’t screamed was because she physically couldn’t make any sound, it had been too harsh a punishment. Her mouth had opened but no sound had been torn from her throat, locked for three days in an endless torment that made her wish she had been left to die, her body slowly degrading until no one remembered her.[/blockquote]
The only thing that made the choice the right one was that it had led her to Peter. He was an older member of Maria’s army, and she had been on the list to die. He’d told her to run and they’d managed to escape together before she was destroyed. He taught her control and they escaped the fighting, finding a place for themselves in a world before Peter went back to spring Jasper from Maria. They’d travelled as a three, until Jazzy went off on his own and Lottie and Peter once more set back to their nomadic life just the two of them. Sometimes they stayed with others but usually they were just content with each others company, or at least she thought they were. Usually Charlotte only mixed truly with Alice and Jasper, despite other nomads crossing her path, she didn’t like lots of new people, and they made her feel slightly threatened. After all the last big group she had passed time with were going to kill her, if it hadn’t been for Peter they would have done. It was meant to be Jasper and Peter that dispensed her from the world, but he had rescued her, their bond too strong for him to allow her to die. It had saved her life.
Finally clearing the terrible crowds that seemed to be set in small huddles around the boundaries of Forks she headed off into the woods, her feet skimming the floor as she finally found the freedom to run. She had returned to Forks with Peter to pop in on Alice and Jasper, and after the alarming IM with the first Lottie was in a bit of a rush. It had been two years since she had seen Alice or Jasper, and it was too long. Charlotte was one hundred and twenty five old, only slightly older than Alice, whom was one hundred and four. Peter was somewhere behind her as they pressed one through the wilderness, that feeling of freedom once more hitting Lottie like an anvil. Running was one of the times she felt free of all the weight of everything that weighed on her. However it was always over so fast when you could move at vampire speeds. It was a flash before you got to where you wanted to be, and she never seemed to get tired anymore. There was only that ever present ache of hunger that she was intent on putting off thinking until she was far away from Forks, she would not kill willingly anywhere near where it might be traced to the Cullen’s, her loyalty was strong with that family. Jasper had let her and Peter go. For that she would forever be in his debt.
When her feet finally slowed it was because the sound of the river trickling had alerted her they were near enough to the Cullen house to not need to rush anymore. They were about three hours earlier than had been intended, the sun having only peeked above the horizon about two hours before. Thankfully the day was overcast so she could be out in the open without fear of sparkling. Her alabaster skin was covered by a light blue t-shirt that hugged her figure and a pair of jeans that were all right for running in. Charlotte wasn’t quite as fashion mad as Alice but she tried to look at least presentable at all times. Her hair was neatly kept around her face and her clothes were never baggy. Beaming brightly over at Peter she crossed the final distance towards the door of the Cullen house and raised her hand to knock, waiting for what she guessed was going to be Alice to open the door. She knew the little brunette would have seen their arrival and hoped it would do something to cheer her friend up.
