- - - I DARE SAY THAT I'VE HEARD OF YOU BEFORE. REMIND ME AGAIN, WHAT'S THE NAME YOUR PARENTS GAVE YOU, ANY SIGNIFICANCE ?

“Aurora? It was just a name my Mum liked, has to do with the fact that I slept from the moment I was born. Sleeping Beauty was Aurora right? It actually means ’dawn’ but I don’t think that factored into the equation. I hate it, so tend to go by Rory. Aurora makes me sound like I’ve just stepped out of a Disney movie. My second Christian name is Mary which I don‘t actually mind. In fact I would have preferred to have Mary as my first name rather than Aurora. Mary means ‘star of the sea‘ which is think it really cute. I love it. As for my last name Brooks, it was just the name my Father bequest to me when he married my Mother.”

- - - REMIND ME AGAIN, WHEN WERE YOU BORN ? I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THE STORY SURROUNDING YOUR BIRTH

“I was born on New Years Day. Which kind of sucks as it means I only get one month of presents a year, but hey it does mean I get it double. I tend to have my party on the day after because everyone is out celebrating the new year on my actual birthday. I was born at exactly midnight which is sort of really strange, but apparently I just refused to stay in there for a minute longer. I could have chosen which birthday to have, but I thought as everyone has parties on new years eve as well it was better to be a new year baby rather than an end of the past year baby. Mum and Dad gave me the choice when I was 5 years old and I was already thinking like that. God.”

- - - CHRIST YOU DON'T LOOK FAMILIAR, DO YOU LIVE IN THESE PARTS?

“The reason I don’t look familiar is I just moved from New York. Yeah I know, I hate the fact I‘m here but I‘m getting used to it. I used to live in Manhattan, I had the ideal life. Went to the private school, had the best friends, had the huge townhouse. Now I am living in something resembling a mud shack compared to where I used to be. I mean it‘s still big, but it isn‘t surrounded by the rich anymore.”

- - - SO WE KNOW THIS IS GONNA SOUND STRANGE, BUT WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU?

”Human. One hundred percent human. Though my parents might argue about that.”

“I want to be a fashion designer, just like my Mum. She‘s so successful, so lovely and successful, and I will be just like her. I tend to doa bit of modelling for her as well but really I do prefer the design side of the fashion world.”

“Falling in love. I know this is a really weird fear to have, but I hate the very idea of losing myself to someone. I like to stand on my own two feet, and the idea of someone else mattering to me enough that I couldn’t leave them.”

“Nope. Nothing significant whatsoever.”

“I live with my Mom, Elyse Brooks. Yes that Elyse Brooks. She’s that wonderful woman that designs those gorgeous dresses for those celebrities on the red carpet. She raised me all on her own, as the Dad I never knew left when I was six months old. She never told me his name, she never even bothered to show me a photo. We had each other and that was all I needed. We are super close to one another, which is why I agreed when she wanted to move us to La Push for no apparent reason.”
